Today, Kosovo marks its 10th anniversary of independence. On this occasion, The President of the Republic of Finalnd, Sauli Niinisto, in his letter to Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, extended sincere congratulations on the 10th anniversary of Kosovo's independence.
The Former President of Finland, Martti Ahtisaari, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci. “I have been pleased to observe the building of close relations with Finland. We celebrated our 100th anniversary as independent country last year. Our history shows how difficulties and strong divisions can be overcome with fair and egalitarian policies," reads the letter.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland, Juha Sipilä has sent a congratuletion note to his counterpart, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj.
“Tenth anniversary of independence is an important landmark for your country. On behalf of the Government of Finland, and on my personal behalf, I have the pleasure to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to you and to the people of Kosovo. Bilateral relations between Finland and Kosovo are excellent and I very much look forward to continuing the cooperation between our countries. Finland fully supports Kosovo's European perspective,” reads the letter.
Congratulation letter was sent by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Timo Soini as well, where the the excellent relations between Kosovo and Finland are emphasized. Minister Soini congratulated his homologue Kosovo’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli and Kosovo people on this anniversary.
