History

The EmbassyThe Embassy of Finland in Pristina

The Finnish Liaison Office opened in 1999 in Pristina. It was upgraded to an Embassy on February 1st 2009 and at the same time official diplomatic relationships were formed.

The Embassy received its first Ambassador on Sebtember 1st 2015. Before that the Ambassador was accredited from Sofia, Bulgaria and in Pristina the Head of Mission was the Chargé d’Affaires a.i.

In September 2009 the Embassy moved from Dragodan into new premises in Pejton in the center of Pristina. The premises are shared with the Swedish Embassy.
